What this website collects

Nothing you type on this website is sent to or stored by it. The project questions on the homepage only prepare a message in your browser, and you choose whether to send it, by WhatsApp or email, straight to the business, or to call instead. If your email app does not open on a computer, the site offers to open Gmail or Outlook in your browser or copy the address instead. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google, which receives your IP address. The business does not use either to identify you.

Information you send

An enquiry may include your name, phone number, email address, the project location, the type of work and materials, photos and any other details you choose to share. If the work goes ahead, the business also keeps the quotation, job details and invoice and payment records.

How it is used, and why

To reply to your enquiry, visit and quote, because you asked for it (steps taken at your request before a contract). To carry out and manage work you commission, including scheduling and invoicing (performance of a contract). To keep the accounting and tax records UK law requires (legal obligation). And to keep a record of past enquiries and jobs so questions about the work can be answered (legitimate interests). Your information is never sold and is not used for marketing lists.

Who it is shared with

Only where reasonably needed: the providers that run the business’s phone, email and messaging, its accountant or other professional advisers, and suppliers involved in your job. It may also be disclosed where the law requires it. WhatsApp, your email provider (including Gmail or Outlook if you use them) and your phone network handle your message under their own privacy terms, and some of them store data outside the UK using safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records of work carried out, including quotations and invoices, are kept for as long as HMRC requires, normally five to six years, and then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information held about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, or receive a copy in a portable format. Some requests cannot be met in full where records must be kept by law. Use the contact details above; you will get a reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

If the website starts using cookies, analytics or embedded services, or the way information is handled changes, this notice will be updated first and the date above changed.
